Reinvigorating the Main Event in Maine’s Most Shoppable Town
In 2014, Visit Freeport’s annual Fall Festival was facing a problem of perception. The weekend-long celebration of local crafts, food and music – held on L.L.Bean’s flagship campus – was looking for a vision of growth/expansion for the festival, and needed a rebrand that included a fresh collateral package to match.
Rebranded with a clean, modern look, while still paying reverence to the area’s rustic, small-town roots, the fresh approach to the festival’s design aesthetic has proven to be not only attractive, but also wildly effective – providing a relevant, approachable new direction that has improved the guest experience considerably.
In fact, since this seismic shift in branding, the festival has tripled in size, drawing more guests and vendors than ever before.
